Boarding Cattery

Light and airy, our accommodation can be suitable for short-term and long-term stays, with an emphasis placed on safety and security.

Wandin Valley Cattery enclosures are generally larger than most other boarding facilities, so cats from the same family can share a larger area with household members. Single boarders have plenty of space to move over 2 levels.

We have limited large enclosures, and not all spaces have a window, therefore it’s recommended to book early, as it’s a “first in best dressed” for all bookings.  No matter the size of the enclosure, we ensure all cats have time out of their room both morning and afternoon to have playtime and a stretch away from their regular enclosure.

Our cattery rooms have split system heating and cooling for year round comfort, and we can provide all bedding, blankets, toys, cat tower, wet and dry food, as well as toileting trays.

To help settle your pet and for comfort, if your pet has a favorite bed, food, toy or comforter, you are welcome to bring it in for their holiday. However, we cannot be responsible for what they choose to do with their personal items while staying with us. We do ask that you clearly name/label all items brought from home, and if you wish for your pet to be brushed during their stay, that you remember to pack their brush for us to use.

Feeding is provided to our guests twice a day, as well as clean fresh water at all times. We provide a standard dry food and a variety of brands/flavors of wet food to help cater for the fussiest of cats. If your cat prefers a particular brand, or has a specific dietary requirement, please bring in your cats own food with clear labels & instructions on feeding amounts.

Please note: If a client provides all food from home, it does not reduce the cost per day.

Vaccinations & Medications

All cats MUST be fully vaccinated against feline upper respiratory tract disease (cat flu) and feline enteritis – which is highly contagious. F3 or F4 Vaccinations should be administered annually by a licensed Veterinarian, and we recommend this should be done at least 2 weeks prior to your cat attending any boarding facility. Up to date information regarding vaccinations MUST be supplied before or upon arrival. This can be by way of a passport, certificate, vet printout or email, and can be provided in hard copy format, or emailed to us at any time prior to arriving for your boarding booking.

Wandin Valley Cattery cannot accept cats into our facility that are younger than 4 months old due to the requirement to have their 3rd and final kitten vaccine at age 14-16 weeks in order to be fully protected.

** Under NO circumstance can we accept your cat into our boarding facility if there is no evidence provided to us of current full vaccination status before or upon arrival. We rarely have to turn guests away, however if your cat is not fully vaccinated within the last 12 months, then we simply cannot take him/her into our care.

If your cat requires a special medication, this should be discussed when making a booking, as in most instances there is no additional charge, however each situation is assessed case by case. Please ensure that you have everything clearly labelled and clear instructions written for our team to follow, ensuring your pets’ special needs will be well looked after.

Wandin Valley Cattery does not accept Diabetic cats or cats with Epilepsy.
